Today, I have been transformed.

You all know our semi-collective reluctance about shopping at Wal-Mart, right? Since I'm too far east to shop at SuperTarget (now that I'm working in Bellevue), I've had to make due at the Super Wal-Mart at 15th and Cornhusker. Now, I'm proud to say, I'm a believer!!!

While the shoppers (and cashiers) were still of a sub-quality compared to those at SuperTarget, I was amazed at the prices! I picked up the 2-disc DVD of "Monsters, Inc." for $14.97. Amazon.com was selling the same movie for almost $25!! I also purchased my shaving cream, shampoo, Advil and "monthly supplies" for low, low prices, too. While I miss SuperTarget's fun, colorful atmosphere, Bellevue's Super Wal-Mart makes a nice subsitute.

Lindsey: Welcome to the club :-) We're glad you could join us.

G'night,

Girls,

A GREAT joke that we all can relate to! :-)

-Wen

A very attractive lady goes up to a bar in a quiet rural pub. She gestures alluringly to the bartender who comes over immediately. When he arrives, she seductively signals that he should bring his face closer to hers. When he does she begins to gently caress his full beard. "Are you the manager?" she asks, softly stroking his face with both hands. "Actually, no," the man replied. "Can you get him for me? I need to speak to him" she says, running her hands beyond his beard and into his hair. "I'm afraid I can't," breathes the bartender. "Is there anything I can do?" "Yes, there is. I need you to give him a message," she continues, running her forefinger across the bartender's lips and slyly popping a couple of her fingers into his mouth and allowing him to suck them gently. "What should I tell him?" the bartender manages to say. "Tell him," she whispers, "there is no toilet paper, hand soap, or paper towels in the women's bathroom."
Hello all,

Social work, huh Shannon? Sounds neat. What college is that in at UNO? Katie, your volunteering sounds like fun. Tell us about working at Seattle's Best. Do they serve hot chocolate, skim milk and New York cinnamon muffins? And, Shannon: We haven't heard from Lindsey yet. I sent her an invite via email to join our online discussion.

Not much to report on my end. I interviewed an Omaha-based furniture designer/architect at his home today near 4th and Center. It's by the Botanical Gardens. GORGEOUS!! He built and designed the house himself. Think Vern Yip, but with less color. It's beautiful! This article is for a new magazine, set to hit stands this fall: www.mediummagazine.com

My 2ยข for now,

Hi girls!

I thougth this would be an easy way for the four of us to keep in touch, rather than always using email. This way, we can post updates on what's going on (aka, all the cool things Katie is doing in California) and share the love :-)

Publishing is easy. Just type in the field above and click "post."

That's all for now,
-Wen
