Hi all,

I ordered our tickets to Manheim! We're in the 23rd row just off of the floor. Great seats! As a reminder, the show is at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 28 at the Civic in downtown Omaha. The tickets, with tax and fees, came to $40 each. Shannon, feel free to drop off the money to me at work whenever. I'm in no hurry.

Dan and I saw "8 Mile" last night at AMC in Omaha. A lot of f-bombs, but, to be honest, it was a really good movie. Eminem only smiles, like, three times in the whole two-hour movie, though.

In terms of shopping, Shannon, weekends work best. Maybe a Friday night or Saturday afternoon? Talk with Lindsey and pick a day. I should be free.

Hi Shannon,

You can just pay me back later. I'm going to put all seven tickets on my credit card. We're going to the Saturday (Dec. 28) show. I believe it starts around 7 p.m. When I know the final total your family owes, I'll let you know!

For you other girls, Shannon and I had a WONDERFUL lunch at Spaghetti Works in the Old Market, coffee at the 13th Street Coffee House and buying a TV at Wal-Mart :-)

Shannon, find out this week who from your family (if anyone) wants tickets to Manheim Steamroller. The shows are the last Thursday, Friday and Saturday in December and cost about $30. Let me know by Friday, as I'm buying them this weekend.

Happy Sunday all,

Shannon, lunch on Wednesday (Nov. 6) sounds great. It's a date! You two girls can meet me at the newspaper, and we'll go from there. I'm hungry for the Southroads food court or Lums. Mmmm. Actually, have you ever been to Famous Dave's? I ate there last week for the first time and LOVED it.

Katie, I stopped by Crane this morning. Katie, Denise and Angie were all working. They all said hello. It sounds as though everyone wants to quit since Nancy left and that store has a new manager. Also, Katie is pregnant. She's due sometime in July. Watching her puff away on a cigarette Sunday morning wouldn't lead you to believe she's "with child," but she is. She's also wearing her engagement ring again. Not sure what that means.

Speaking of the theater, Lindsey, you would probably enjoy this most of all. The article is REALLY long, but it was written by a newspaper reporter in 1997 who followed a high school production of "West Side Story" for about three months from start to finish. It even won an award! I loved it so much, I posted the entire six parts (all 16,000 words) on my website:
