Hello all,

Happy first day of Christmas shopping. As is Wendy fashion, I've already bought two things today for me: a new pair of headphones for my iPod and some thank-you cards from the Tattered Cover here in Denver.

Dinner last night was fun. We ate around 6 p.m. Dad grilled our 18-pound Jennie O turkey. It was DELICIOUS. Today we've been out bumming around the city. We're going to some bar/grill later to watch the NU-CU football game. Should be a fun time.

I get home Sunday afternoon. Hope everyone else is doing well.

Hi girls,

Shannon, the more I think about it, the more I agree with your move of buying suede shoes. I mean, if you couldn't trust J. Crew to have quality suede (that doesn't get ruined), who can you trust? I'm excited to see them.

My talk at Bellevue East went OK. There were like 12 kids in the class and only about five of them were interested in jobs in the media -- and even then, they all wanted to be TV reporters. Ugh. My gut tells me these kids will be working telemarketing and folding khakis at the Gap for quite some time.

I did, however, wear my new sweater/white oxford shirt duo. And, if I do say so myself, I looked rather snappy. I paired those two pieces with a black, knee-length skirt and black Mary Jane-ish shoes. Very nice :-)

I plan on wearing my new courderoy pants from American Eagle today, since it's going to be so cold. I woke up a little before 4 a.m. and discovered the 2 inches of snow that now covers much of Omaha. It's pretty!
