Lindsey, that sucks that you were stuck at home on a Friday night. My mom and I had dinner at Famous Dave's (172nd and W. Center). It was so tasty! The service was fast, too. We were in and out of there within about 40 minutes.

Not much else to report. I'm going to stop by Target this afternoon and see if I can find a cool desk lamp for my office.

What's up, Ladies of Plattsmouth and California, respectively?

Not much news to report along N Street. The old man across the street (who wears the fake Adidas running pants) has a riding lawn mower. As you can imagine, he's out there mowing his lawn every other day. OK, that's not true. Once a week is more like it, but still...

I'm on the lookout for a loveseat or oversized chair for my office. Nothing too big, but I think I would really enjoy reading in here or just flopping on the couch/chair. I'm going to look at NFM and Rod Kush this weekend and see if I can find anything.

Katie, while we're in California, I really want to spend some significant time at IKEA. Things on my list: An actual desk chair for the office, a desk lamp and (maybe) a throw rug for my office. Who knows what other kitschy things I'll find, eh?

Andy Grzbelski (sp?) was at my house last weekend mowing for the first time. He does such a great job! He charges me $25 to mow and trim, which I can handle every other week.

Not too many big plans for the weekend. I'm having some former Gateway staffers over on Saturday so we can judge the "Best of Gateway" contest. Should be a fun time.

Shannon: My mom mentioned something about your folks coming to my house, too. Perhaps that's something we can do next weekend.
