Not much to report. In a very weak moment, I splurged on a black nylon messenger bag by Kate Spade at Von Maur earlier this week. It's adorable. Much smaller and more compact than the brown leather bag from J. Crew that I've been toting around for seven months. I still love that J. Crew bag, though, and will continue to use it.

It has been hotter than hell. I'm ready for fall.
