Thanks for the info, Shannon. I'll see you Saturday at my mom's house.

As for Katie, she's visiting my dad and Robin in Denver this week, so I imagine she'll be away from the computer for awhile.

Not much else going on here. I've been SWAMPED with newspaper and freelance articles.

Also, I applied at the One Pacific Place Gap this week for a part-time job. I could use the extra money, and what better place to get a discount, right? We'll see what happens. Since I have zero retail experience, I won't be surprised if they never call me for an interview.

Shannon and Lindsey: My mom thought it would be a cute idea to make a photo board for your mom's party. I'm thinking you could grab a bunch of old photos of your mom (baby, high school, wedding, etc.). The four of us could meet at my mom's house before the party and put the board together. My mom said she has tons of old photos we can use, too.

Let me know what evening (or weekend) works best for you both.

P.S. The Bellevue Panera in Wolf Creek opens next Friday!!!

Hello from 12135 N Street, ladies. Hope everyone enjoyed their weekends. I spent Friday, Saturday and some of Sunday visiting my friend in Iowa City. Carole Snow and I worked together at the Papillion Times. Now, she's going to school at the University of Iowa and living in Iowa City. What a great city! I thought it was going to be all farming and what not, but it's quite the opposite. Much of the city has a Dundee feel, and the area around U of I reminds me of the Old Market, but on a smaller scale. About 30 miles outside of Iowa City is a great outlet mall. Did plenty of shopping there, with outlet stores like the Gap, Old Navy and Bass Shoes.

Not much else to report. I'm looking forward to Lorraine's party next month. Not sure if UJ will be in town for the party or not. We shall see.

But one thing's for damn sure: He ain't staying with me :-)
