Hello all, and a happy (early) Labor Day. It's just before 1 p.m. Saturday, and I'm seated at my new part-time weekend job. I didn't find much luck with retailers such as Gap or Hallmark. I was looking in the want-ads of last weekend's Omaha World-Herald. I saw an ad seeking a weekend receptionist for Nu-Trend Homes, 63rd and L. They sell model homes.

My hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays, and noon to 5 p.m. Sundays. Honestly, I don't do anything outside of answer the phone. That's it. It's so awesome. I'm reading the latest issue of Allure Magazine right now. The computer I sit at has a cable modem, which is even more awesome.

The best part? I'm making $9/hour!! It's great :-)

I spoke with Katie late last night. Her AOL at home isn't working, which would explain why we haven't seen her post anything for a few weeks. She said not to panic; she's not dead!

I don't know where Katie is. I've tried calling her for the past three days on her cell phone, and I just get a busy signal. I think school may have started back for her. Not really sure.

I'm not really sure about PowerPoint presentations and Blackboard. I have PowerPoint, so you could download the files and email them to me. I could then put all the text into a Microsoft Word document and email them back to you. It wouldn't take any time at all.

Labor Day should be fun. Your mom emailed me about the details. I'm hoping it won't be hot, too. If so, we can sit indoors. It'll be fun. Us kids can play in the basement like always, while the adults sit upstars and "talk" and "have coffee" :-)
