Oh, Shannon!!! No, No, No. My dad didn't have a heart attack. He's just fine. REALLY. I was going to use that as an excuse at my part-time weekend job to go visit Katie; as in, "My dad had a heart attack, I have to go to Denver this weekend." Which, as we all know, is NOT true!! But, my trip to California fell through. Oh, well.

I had fun last night. We'll have to do that again. Perhaps next time we could do dinner at the Omaha Press Club, then walk around the Old Market?

Hey girls. Katie, sorry, I haven't been avoiding you. Things have just been crazy. But I do have some bad news: I don't think I'll have time to visit. Robin is coming to Omaha the last week of October...which is exactly the weekend I was coming to visit you. I can't take any time off in November, since I'm taking a day off for Thanksgiving. The timing sucks, I know; Robin's visit to Omaha was news that caught me off-guard, to say the last. I just found this out. So, I'm sad to report that I won't make it out to California before Christmas. But, after Christmas...that could be another story :-)
