A Blast from the Past

It's Spring Break 2002 in Denver, Colo. Shannon, Katie and I are doing our darndest to get out the door and go shopping. For whatever reason, Katie decided she wants to curl her hair.

Oh, shit.

Shannon, please let your mom know that I received her check today in the mail. Thanks!

Katie, no I haven't seen the video for the new OutKast song. As you'll recall, I'm too poor to get cable. Well, too poor and too lazy. You get the idea.

I had my test tonight for grad school. It went really well! I'll have the results in the mail in about two weeks, but my gut says I did good :-)

Have a great weekend!

Sure, Shannon. Next week looks good to visit Pottery Barn. I'll be at UNO today at 5 in the Engineering building, taking my MAT test for grad school. It's 100 analogies that I must complete in 50 minutes. Here's an example of one:

Katie is to California as Wendy is to (Omaha, Colorado, Denver, Nebraska).

The correct answer, while at first may appear to be Omaha, is actually Nebraska. The reason? California is the state Katie lives in, not the city. And Nebraska is the state I live in, not the city.

The test has these analogies in English, literature, math, science and social studies. I hope I do well!

Shannon, I emailed your mom back. As always, though, my address and phone number are always on my Web site: www.wendytownley.com.

Have a good day, everyone!

Shannon, let's make plans to do Pottery Barn. Any night this week? Or, perhaps this weekend?

Happy Sunday. I came across the new and improved Web site of Vern Yip from "Trading Spaces." It seems Vern now sells some of his home furnishings on his site. They're nice, but nothing I couldn't find at Pier 1 or Cost Plus World Market.

C'mon, have a little look-see: www.vernyip.com

In other news, I saw "School of Rock" last night. HILARIOUS!! Jack Black is awesome as the school teacher, and the kids in his class are great. Very funny. Go see it, or rent it when it comes out on DVD and video.

Also, I'm starting to like that new single by Outkast. Weird, huh? I never considered myself a fan of hip-hop, but this song has me shakin' my sweet ass like no other.
