Shannon, I know your 21st birthday is on a Monday night. Monday is my long night at the newspaper, but I'd love to take you out the next Tuesday (April 27). I think you'd like champagne :-) The Homy Inn, by the Target on Saddle Creek, has champagne on tap. It's pretty tasty! If you'd like, we can go there Tuesday night. Or, we can go somewhere else, if you'd like. I have no interest in getting either of us "wasted" or "slammed" or any other type of states that so many Gross students participated in when their parents weren't looking.

Think it over, and let me know!

Katie, you must tell Shannon about Billy and his Denver jeans. I think she'd get a kick out of it! :-) Thanks for the shampoo recommendation. I've been using Garnier Fructis shampoo for about six months, but I'm ready for a change. The Aveda stuff sounds good. Can I buy that at Target, Wal-Mart or Walgreens?

Today I'm a Nu-Trend, working 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., like every other Saturday. This is just an ideal part-time job for me. Last Saturday, I painted my finger nails and mailed Easter cards. Today, I plan to read more of "Angels and Demons" by Dan Brown, and do some Web surfing. Fun, fun, fun.

Tomorrow at my mom's house should be a lot of fun. I'm excited to not only have the day off, but also to eat, eat, eat for much of the afternoon. Woo hoo!

I was at the Bellevue Target around 3 p.m. yesterday. Didn't find too much, but I didn't look that hard, either. Lindsey, that's OK about your gay friend. No harm done.

I'm looking forward to Easter, too! You'll get to meet Matt, the new boy :-) He'll be over my mom's house around 4:30, after dinner with his family.

Got an interview tonight for the paper. It's with a Bellevue lesbian couple who were married in San Francisco last month. They have two kids. Should be a good story.

No, Shannon, those aren't the cookies I made. I just thought they looked tasty! I bought cookie dough from Jalen a few weeks ago. He's a Boy Scout and was selling it by the bucket. I bought chocolate chip dough, and that's what we made Saturday night. Boy, was it delicious. Yum.

Since I worked until 9:30 last night, I'm only spending a few hours at the paper today. Then, I'm going to see if I can find a bathing suit for my trip to California. There's one I saw on Target's Web site, but I don't know if it's available in stores. Here it is:

Then, I may walk around Westroads or Oakview. It seems like it has been months since I've been shopping, without looking for anything specific. I just want to walk through the mall :-)

Happy Tuesday!

Don't these look absolutely delicious? (OK, you can tell I'm bored. I'm posting to the Blogger like never before!!!)

It's touted as "the ultimate Golden Girls site." I think they're right:

Enjoy. Happy Sunday!
Yeah, putting graduate school on hold just feels like the right thing to do now. I've learned to "never say never," and this is proof of that.

Shannon: What became of applying for the education program at UNO? I can't see how you'd be rejected or denied admittance since you've already been a UNO student for several years now. Would your degree be in elementary education? Also, what's the status on your new job?

Matt and I watched "Adaptation" this week. An odd movie. It was good, but I'm not sure why. Chris Cooper is an AWESOME actor, and this movie proved that. I really am intrigued by "The Orchid Thief," the book that the movie is based around.

Speaking of books, I'm currently reading "Angels and Demons," the prequel to "The Da Vinci Code." So far, it's very, very good. I read online yesterday that Dan Brown, the author, is working on a sequel to "Da Vinci" that will be published next summer. This time, however, the book will be set in the U.S. It sounds good. I read "The Perks of Being a Wallflower" a few weeks ago. Sad, but a good book. I liked how the entire book is written in letter form.

Today, I'm at Nu-Trend. We were really busy yesterday, but I found time to paint my fingernails :-) Today, I'm going to read more of "Angels and Demons" and the latest issues of Allure and Rolling Stone. Good times.

Last night, Matt and I grilled steaks. DELICIOUS! I hadn't used my grill since last year, so this was the official start of the '04 grilling season. It was a good meal. Then, we made cookies and ate them with ice cream. Yum.

My bedroom is, obviously, the next room on my list to redo. I really am leaning toward purple walls now. But, we'll see what I find with regard to comforters.

OK, enough babble from me. Katie, we're a little more than a month away until Mom and I visit! I CAN'T WAIT! I want to buy a new swimsuit, and I've seen some cute styles at Target...
