Katie, thanks again for handling Father's Day duties once again this year. Drop me an email when you know the final total, so I'll know how much to spend for Dad's birthday. As a reminder, I'll send Dad a card for Father's Day sometime next week.

Matt and I are going to see "The Day After Tomorrow" this evening. He has free passes, so it'll certainly be a cheap evening. I'll let you know what I thought of the movie.

On another note: I've decided to paint my bedroom a pale pink. I'm growing weary of all the earth tones; it's time for something girly!

Shannon, are you working Saturday? I believe you're having some type of craft fund-raiser for the Bellevue Police Department. Anyway, I'm having our photographer, Tony, take a picture sometime between 10 and 3 on Saturday. Maybe you'll see him there! His name's Tony Miceli (and no, he wasn't on "Who's the Boss?" in the '80s.)

I saw Oprah's new pick for the summer. It's pretty big, and I'm a little fearful that it's too hard of a read. I was at a used book store in Chicago over the weekend and looked for a copy. I didn't find one, which I took to mean I shouldn't read it this summer. I want to get through a number of books over the summer -- not just one. But, if you're up for a challenging read, give it a shot. I'm sure all the book stores have copies, as well as Amazon.com.
