Shannon, dinner Friday night sounds perfect. My mom had mentioned Matt joining us, but he works until 7:30 p.m. I don't imagine we want to wait until then, but he may want to join us for a drink later on. Would that be OK with you? Eating at either Lakeview or Village Pointe sounds great.
Katie, I got Dad's birthday taken care of today. In addition to the "Best of Car Talk" CD, which I ordered online Sunday, I also bought him a bottle of Eddie Bauer's new cologne, which smells VERY good; and a new small, brown leather case for his toiletries when he travels, again from Eddie Bauer. The birthday card I got was pretty cute. On the front, it says "The mother bird sends the baby bird out into the world." On the other side of this tree, with two birds, it says "The father bird slips them an extra twenty, just in case." It's really sweet, and I think he'll like it. You can sign it when we're in Denver.
Nothing much else to report. Shannon, I've found Advil works best for cramps. I've been a satisfied Advil customer for years!
It's hot and humid here. Ugh.
