That sounds great, Shannon. Because I have high-speed, my Internet connection is always on. I'll leave you instructions on how to use my Macintosh. Make sure you bring your cell phone, should you need to call me. Remember: I don't have a phone at my house.

My kitten will probably be in the basement, unless he's upstairs. Feel free to stop by and say hello :-)
Hi, Shannon. Thanks for agreeing to watch my kitty! You're the best!

Yes, feel free to come over Monday and use my computer. I work until around 7 p.m. or so, and then I'm going straight to Sokol Auditorium (13th and Martha) for a concert. You could stop by the Leader and grab my extra set of keys before coming over. Then, you could see my new kitty :-)

Sound good?
Happy Saturday! There are so many things to get caught up on with you all, so it's best to start at the beginning.

Yes, I watched the presidential debate Thursday night. I'm voting for Kerry, but I don't feel like the debate informed me of anything I didn't already know about either candidate. It was so hilarious to see Bush's face as Kerry answered questions. It's almost as if Bush didn't know he was on TV! Jeez. Even though I'm voting for a democrat, I'm registered as an independent. I think that's the best route, rather than "picking sides." And yes, Katie, I know what you mean about talking to Dad about politics :-)

Other news from N Street: I'm a cat owner...again! Yep, it's true. Matthew and I spent a few hours at the Nebraska Humane Society Wednesday afternoon. We found a 3-month-old kitten that is ADORABLE. He's gray with white feet, and I picked him up Thursday after work. I'll post photos later this weekend. The humane society was having a half-off sale on their kittens, so everything cost me $62. And my first vet visit (which is Tuesday morning) is free, thanks to the humane society. This kitten is SO much more friendly than the first. It's great! He meows a lot and loves to be held. Taking naps with him is the best, too :-)

So, question for you Shannon: Would you still be interested in caring for my kitty (who still needs a name)? There are two times that stick out in my head: when I'm visiting Katie (Oct. 14-18); and when Matthew and I are in Denver for Thanksgiving (Nov. 24-28). Would you be willing to have him at your house? Or, were you thinking of stopping by while I'm out of town?

That's all for now. More later! :-)

Katie, I'm sorry, but I tossed those coupons. I do, however, have a number of kitty coupons that I clipped last week. I'll bring 'em with me to CA. I know they don't expire until the end of the year :-)
Good luck with your homework this weekend, Shannon. The wedding reception I went to last night at the Renaissance Mansion was absolutely gorgeous. The cutest idea was the guest book. Instead of signing a traditional guest book, there was a guy taking guests' photos with a Polaroid camera. After your picture was taken, you signed the bottom of the photograph. I thought that was a great way for the bride and groom to remember who attended the reception.

Katie, I received your kitty care package in the mail on Wednesday :-) I'll bring your book with me to California. What's on our agenda while I'm in town?
